Arrivals at Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG)
After landing at PVG, follow signs and staff instructions for immigration where applicable, baggage reclaim and customs. The route depends on whether your flight is domestic or international and on the entry procedures that apply to you.
After landing
- Follow the arrival route indicated by airport signs and staff.
- Complete immigration or other border formalities if they apply to your journey.
- Collect checked baggage from the belt shown on the flight information screens.
- Follow customs instructions and declare items when required under current Chinese rules.
- Proceed to the designated pickup, taxi, bus, metro or transfer area according to airport signs.
Meeting an arriving passenger
If you are collecting someone, agree a meeting point in advance and allow for changes to arrival times. For a pre-booked transfer, confirm the terminal, pickup point and provider contact number directly.
Missing baggage
If your checked bag is missing or damaged, report it to the airline or its ground-handling representative as soon as possible, preferably before leaving the baggage reclaim area. Keep your baggage tag and boarding pass and ask for a written claim reference.
