Departures at Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG)
For departures, first confirm whether your flight uses Terminal 1 or Terminal 2. Follow signs to your airline’s check-in or bag-drop area, then complete the required security and border-control procedures for your itinerary.
Check-in and baggage drop
Counter locations and opening times depend on the airline and flight. Check your booking and the airport information screens when you arrive. Baggage allowances, excess-bag fees and check-in deadlines are set by your airline and fare.
Security and boarding
After check-in, follow airport signs and staff instructions for security screening and any passport-control checks that apply. Once through the required checks, confirm the gate and boarding time on the information screens. Some flights board from satellite concourses S1 or S2, so allow time for the internal transfer.
