Terminals at Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG)

Shanghai Pudong International Airport has two main passenger terminal buildings, Terminal 1 (T1) and Terminal 2 (T2), together with satellite concourses S1 and S2. The terminal and satellite used for a flight depend on the airline and operation. Always check your booking and boarding pass.

Terminal 1 and Terminal 2

Both main terminals handle domestic and international services. Airline check-in, security and passenger services are organised by terminal and flight type. Do not assume that all flights operated by one airline always use the same building; check your specific flight.

Satellite concourses S1 and S2

Satellite concourses provide additional boarding gates. Some passengers check in and pass security in a main terminal, then travel to a satellite concourse using the airport’s internal passenger transport system. Allow time for the transfer and follow the signs.

Terminal transfer and connections

For a connection, confirm whether you need to collect baggage, clear immigration or customs, change terminals, pass security again or use the satellite passenger transport system. The process depends on your ticket, route and airline arrangements.
